Land Rover Discovery Sport milestone

First Land Rover Discovery Sport rolls off Halewood production line… boldly going to Virgin Galactic.

The car has been given to Land Rover’s global partner, Virgin Galactic, to be used by the team as they prepare for the launch of the world’s first commercial spaceline.

Land Rover recently announced its Galactic Discovery competition to send four winners to space as part of its partnership with Virgin Galactic.

The latest model in the Land Rover line-up is billed as the “world’s most versatile and capable premium compact SUV”.

Discovery Sport production has created 250 new manufacturing jobs at Halewood, which is already home to the company’s fastest selling model of all time – the Range Rover Evoque.
