The car looks stunning and the technology sounds good. Will it stand out in the crowded roads in China? Though I love the car, I’m not so sure. On my extensive business travels in China I’ve always prized the practicalities of whichever car I’ve hired. And by practicalities I mean those that a business person values: I’m almost always chauffeured as that’s the easiest, quickest and safest way to travel from A to B in China, so it’s what’s in the cabin at the back upon which I judge a car. Earlier this month I witnessed the changing street traffic of Shanghai. Practicalities over ostentatious looks is certainly trending in China as it has across many countries where display of wealth has become more and more understated since the banking crisis. Still, wouldn’t mind the car back at home for weekend fun!
