Vans just got cool – Nissan unveils its E-NV200 all-electric city delivery vehicle
Combining the best of Nissan LEAF and NV200 van in one package, Nissan is billing its new e-NV200 as a “game-changing, practical and sustainable” vehicle.
Produced alongside its petrol and diesel siblings at Nissan’s factory in Barcelona, the e-NV200 offers a 106-mile range, matches the load volume and payload of the NV200, and will also form the basis of an electric taxi for London due to launch in 2015.
Charging ports are located under a flap at the front of the van, allowing 16 and 32-amp charging suitable for most wallboxes and taking either four hours or overnight to reach full capacity. Nissan’s EV van can also achieve an 80% charge in 30 minutes via a motorway rapid-charge unit.
The E-NV200 is due to go on sale in June.
