Land Rover has launched special edition to celebrate 25 years of the Discovery.
The Discovery turns 25 this year and Land Rover is celebrating with a hi-spec XXV Special Edition.
Good to see this hugely successful workhorse get a pampering after all these years and nice to see a special edition – relatively rare these days.
More than one million Discovery models have sold since its launch in 1989, it’s won 219 awards to date around the world, and it’s British – every one has been made at Land Rover’s Solihull plant.
The XXV special edition is based on the existing HSE Luxury specification. It’s available in Causeway Grey, features Narvik Black grille surrounds and mirror caps, silver full-length roof rails, body-coloured handles and a stainless steel bumper accessory tread plate.
There’s also distinctive XXV badging on the front door and tailgate, and it’s fitted with new 20-inch alloy wheels in a light polished-silver finish.
Inside, the fascia, instrument panel binnacle and door top rolls are lined with Windsor leather – additional highlights include twist pile carpet mats and a leather-wrapped wooden steering wheel.
“The Discovery XXV Special Edition is the ultimate in sophisticated versatility and a fitting tribute to the legendary status of this iconic Land Rover,” said Jaguar Land Rover’s Phil Popham.
