Nissan GT-R smashes drifting record

A Nissan GT-R NISMO has set a new Guinness World record for the fastest 30-degree slide ever.

Japanese drift champion Masato Kawabata drove the specially tuned GT-R at 304.96kph (189mph) to break the record of 217.97kph (135mph) set by Poland’s Jakub Przygoński in 2013.

The feat took place on the 3km runway at Fujairah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates.
