Fresh start for Saab as electric prototype is revealed in Sweden?
Saab’s new owners NEVS (National Electric Vehicles Sweden) have unveiled a modified 9-3 saloon where the batteries are placed under the floor, keeping the full interior space as well as the luggage compartment intact.
Chinese-backed NEVS claims “Saab cars’ well-known performance and safety is maintained” in the new EV.
The prototype’s range is approximately 125 miles with a 0-60mph time of 10 seconds and maximum speed of around 70mph.
NEVS rescued bankrupt Saab in 2012 and restarted production of the Saab 9-3 in late 2013 and now sells the cars online.
