Volkswagen Amarok and Next bring Christmas cheer

A VW Amarok is towing a giant festive bauble with a difference around the UK in a partnership between Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and fashion retailer Next.

Next is selling its popular Christmas jumpers from the super-sized decoration at stores and offices across the country to raise money for Save The Children.

The award-winning pick-up truck has been given a festive makeover with a special wrap before heading out on the ultimate Christmas tour around the country.

The Amarok is towing the bauble, which is transformed into a Next pop-up shop, from Edinburgh to London via Manchester and Milton Keynes.

The giant bauble has the chassis of a small car and with its towing capacity of 3,100kg (the equivalent of 18 reindeers) the Amarok is the ideal sleigh for the festive tour.

“We are very proud to see the award-winning Amarok spread some Christmas joy over the holidays and participate in this special seasonal tour,” said Sarah Cox of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

“The Amarok is the perfect fit for this partnership with Next and we are happy to be powering the festivities up and down the nation, all for an excellent cause.”
