Riversimple Rasa to be a showstopper

New British-built hydrogen fuel cell powered car to be one of the star attractions at the London Motor Show.

The first road legal, engineering prototype of the innovative two-seater will be displayed at the show in the Evolution Centre.

Capable of travelling 300 miles on a single tank of hydrogen and developed and built in Llandrindod Wells, Wales, the Rasa has a drag co-efficiency of just 0.224cd – lower than any production car on sale today.

Riversimple claims that the Rasa is capable of 0-60mph in 10 seconds with a top speed of 60mph.

The new London Motor Show, which will be staged at Battersea Park from May 5-8, promises visitors the opportunity of seeing a wide range of cars from city cars right through to high performance supercars.

Road tests will be available and there will be a variety of other outside demonstrations, including road safety initiatives designed to save lives and prevent accidents.

Tickets for the show are only available in advance and are now on sale through Ticketmaster at £15.
