Amazing 152mph John Cooper Works MINI to debut at December’s Detroit Auto Show.

The most powerful production MINI ever has been unleashed and it certainly packs a punch.

The John Cooper Works MINI, which will be on sale from late April 2015 and priced from £22,865, will feature a 231hp 2.0-litre engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology.

Compared with the previous MINI JCW, the new model delivers 10% more power and 23% more torque.

It will be capable of a top speed of 152mph and 0-62mph in 6.3 seconds with the six-speed manual gearbox, and 6.1 seconds with the optional six-speed Steptronic sports transmission.

The JCW MINI looks the part too with new high-performance Brembo brakes, exclusive 17-inch John Cooper Works Race Spoke light alloy wheels and aerodynamic aids including a front apron with large cooling air inlets, distinctive side sill and rear apron design, plus a JCW rear spoiler.
