Meet the rugged new four-wheel-drive Seat Leon X-Perience.
Based on the standard Leon ST estate, it stands 15mm higher than its sibling giving it an off-road capability.
The X-Perience is tall and sleek with robust protection mouldings on the door sills and wheel arches, while its front end gets large air intakes and integrated fog lamps, plus an aluminium-look front spoiler.
There’s a new bumper at the rear, plus chrome tailpipes (standard on the 2.0 TDI), while 17-inch wheels are standard, with the optional of a set 18-inchers.
Inisde, there’s a unique trim with the option of brown Alcantara or all-black leather seats, while the luggage compartment has a carrying capacity of 587 litres, which extends to 1,470 litres when the rear seats are folded down.
The newest addition to the Leon range is offered with a variety of petrol and diesel engines. The top engine is the 2.0 TDI, capable of 0-60 in 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 139mph with a combined fuel consumption of 55.4mpg and CO2 emissions of 133g/km.
Technology on-bard includes Seat’s four-wheel EDS dynamic control system (electronic differential locks on both axles), an extended electronic differential lock for better traction while cornering (XDS), an electronic stability programme and a multi-collision brake system for maximum safety.
The Leon X-Perience is available to order from September and will arrive in UK showrooms later in 2014.
