The all new Jaguar C-X75 has been developed to celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary but this car proves why they have remained at the top of the game this long. The Jaguar C-X75 is everything you would expect for the name. Sleek, elegant and crafted, from whatever angle you look at this car its pedigree is obvious. This car competes on equal footing with any Ferrari.
Ian Callum, the designer responsible has surely secured his name in auto design history with this model but the modest man he is places the emphasis on the whole team. However do not go trading in your used Jaguar just yet as its not yet on the road.
The Jaguar C-X75 is designed for speed, its aerodynamic profile, sculpted, athletic lines and low stance attest to its agility. The inside is an adventure in space age technology and the dashboard is straight out of a fighter pilots cockpit. The materials used are revolutionary in cars design and only serve to add intrigue. With its moulded rubber, soft neoprene, polished aluminium and mesh complete the interiors catwalk look.
Groundbreaking is how you would describe the electric, gas turbine engine and it gives a top speed of 240 green mph achieving 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds. Each wheel is fitted with electric motors linked to gas turbines to give a supercar green performance. When used solely on the electric engines it can travel 68 miles with zero carbon emissions but with the gas turbines in operation to recharge the batteries the C-X75 covers and amazing 560 miles.
While the competition has been busy developing a rival to the Jaguar C-X75, most notably the Ferrari SA Aperta and the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, the seventh element supercar. Jaguar have with the C-X75 a car more than capable of performing on an equal footing, its beautiful sense of chic style is more than a match for Italian car manufacturers.
