Reigning Olympic Triathlon champion Alistair Brownlee and his brother Jonny have signed up with Volvo Car UK as brand ambassadors.
Hailing from Yorkshire, the pair are the only British brothers ever to finish first and second in an individual event at the Olympic Games.
Alistair is one of the most decorated triathletes of all time, claiming gold at both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games, making him the first triathlete ever to retain their Olympic title.
Jonny is a World and Commonwealth Champion and bronze and silver medal winner at London 2012 and Rio 2016 respectively.
The brothers’ signing is a major development in Volvo’s partnership with British Triathlon.
Volvo became the official vehicle partner of British Triathlon in 2019, a sponsorship that reflects the common values it shares with the organisation, including care for the environment, sustainability, a sense of adventure and empowering people to enjoy active lifestyles.
“I’m excited to be working with a brand that shares my love for triathlon and endorses the benefits and enjoyment of an active lifestyle,” said Alistair.
“Volvo is committed to sustainability and improved safety – these values are important to me and they are something that excites me about working with the brand.”
