Made in Japan: Mazda celebrates milestone

Mazda has made its 50 millionth vehicle in Japan – 86 years and seven months after it produced its first three-wheeled truck.

A commemorative ceremony was held at Mazda Hofu Plant in Yamaguchi, where vehicle manufacture started in 1982.

Mazda began its journey as an auto maker in 1931 when it started making trucks in Hiroshima, where production still continues.
