Grandmother wins surprise £20,000 BMW with Bridgestone

Jane Robinson got more than she bargained for when she took the family car in for its routine MOT at Bush Tyres in Grimsby.

The 65-year-old from Waltham, Lincolnshire, was given the keys to a brand new BMW 1 Series.

Bridgestone ran a promotion over August and September, which gave motorists the chance to win the headline prize after purchasing a set of the company’s premium products. Jane bought a new set of tyres, entered the competition, then thought nothing more of it.

“We entered the competition and completely forgot about it,” laughed Jane. “I never win anything.”

She added: “I can’t wait to take my first drive in the car. I’ll make sure that I get into the driver’s seat before my husband does!”
