Epic drag race: Tesla Model S vs Boeing 737

A Tesla Model S P90D has taken part in a high-speed duel with a Qantas Boeing 737-800 on an airport runway in Australia.

The 3km runway at Avalon Airport near Melbourne was the setting for the unique test of innovation, skill and power.

Qantas – Australia’s national carrier – and Tesla, the Californian-based maker of premium electric cars, are collaborating to drive innovation for their customers and sustainability in the transport industry.

The Tesla Model S P90D is faster than many people think. In ‘Ludicrous Mode’, the all-wheel drive car can reach 60mph in 2.8 seconds.
