Ultimate winter tyre test

World Champion wakeboarder towed by a car across flooded causeway in unique Dunlop Winter Sport 5 tyre test.

Nick Davies wake-boarded behind a car driven by the current British Touring Car Championship rookie of the year, Josh Cook, along the treacherous Holy Island stretch in NE England.

The causeway can flood in just a few minutes and more than 100 cars have been lost to the tide on the road.

During the challenge, the tyres were subjected to road conditions so severe that the surface water became deep enough to wakeboard on.

The feat was attempted two hours after the ‘safe’ crossing times ended and the pair had to reach the other side in time to avoid being washed away by the incoming tide.
