BAC Mono Marine Edition unveiled – the supercar that’s at home on a superyacht.
Built-to-order luxury car maker BAC has revealed a special edition car based on its single-seater supercar, powered by 305bhp 2.5-litre Mountune engine.
Complete with a carbon-fibre crane arm and lifting points for superyachts, the Marine Edition is completely customisable inside and out and costs an eye-watering £500,000.
Featuring anti-corrosion components, it’s designed for life on-board the world’s most premier super-yachts. It’s built at a new factory in Liverpool, producing four Monos per month.
“I started my career designing luxury yachts and I have wanted to combine my love of marine and automotive design ever since,” said BAC co-founder Ian Briggs. “The Marine Edition Mono represents purpose and style for a clientele that knows no compromise.”
The BAC (Briggs Automotive Company) Mono is a lightweight, high performance, road legal supercar designed and manufactured using the latest racing technology.
It’s also officially the second fastest road legal car around the Top Gear test track, with a time of 1:14.3 – or 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 175mph.
