7-up for BMW

BMW launches its first seven-seat MPV – the new BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer – and the newest car to join the range is sure to appeal to families.

The Gran Tourer is 214mm longer and 53mm higher than the five-seater BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, but a longer wheelbase of 2,780mm provides extra space for seven.

Flexibility inside includes a sliding second row of seats with adjustable backrest, a third row of seats that fold into the floor, and provision for up to five universal child seats.

The 2 Series Gran Tourer is available with a choice of five turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The range starts at £24,175 for the 218i .
