Footballers Laurent Koscielny, Mathieu Flamini, David Ospina and Theo Walcott have been celebrating 60 years of the original Citroen DS.
The Arsenal FC stars, including French internationals Flamini and Koscielny, wore the iconic red and white kit that their legendary predecessors would have worn in 1955 – the same year the DS was launched.
Manager Arsene Wenger even got himself into the picture when he appeared to accidentally photobomb his players as he walked behind them at the club’s training ground.
The original DS was produced between 1955 and 1975, with a total production run of 1,456,115 cars.
DS is now a stand-alone brand. The separation of Citroen and DS was announced in 2014 and the two marques exhibited side by side as two distinct brands for the first time in Europe at October’s Paris Motor Show.
Citroen UK is the official automotive partner of Arsenal Football Club.
