‘Virtual’ Audi TT on sale

State-of-the-art new Audi TT Coupé now available to order, priced from £29,770.

The third generation of Audi’s sports car is on sale with first deliveries due in December. A performance TTS model will follow in October.

The new TT features a revolutionary all-digital virtual cockpit, plus improved performance, efficiency and equipment.

The frugal TT ultra will be capable of 67.3mpg with a CO2 output of just 110g/km, yet will be able to reach 62mph in 7.1 seconds and top out at 150mph.

Perhaps the most startling feature of the new TT is the virtual cockpit, which is based around a 12.3-inch, high resolution LCD display that completely fills the driver’s instrument binnacle and replaces the traditional analogue dials. Drivers can choose between two display modes – Classic and Infotainment.

At 4.18 metres long, the new TT is almost exactly the same length as its predecessor, though its wheelbase has grown by 37mm to 2,505mm. At 1,353mm, it’s the same height as the previous model.

Originally launched in 1998,  the TT is one of the most successful sports coupes ever made.
