Volvo’s sexy concept estate

Volvo unveils its drop-dead gorgeous Concept Estate.

This is Volvo’s Concept Estate – a stunningly beautiful car which we hope goes into production ASAP.

With echoes of the iconic Volvo 1800 ES from the early 1970s, this is the first time Volvo has revealed how the interior of its forthcoming models (including the much-anticipated XC90 SUV later this year) will both look and function.

The most striking interior design feature is its simplicity – the traditional selection of buttons and controls have been replaced by one large tablet-like touch screen control panel in the centre console.

The rear of Concept Estate is particularly reminiscent of the Volvo 1800 ES, along with the two-spoke steering wheel, the instrument panel and dials.
