Sporting icon David Beckham has joined Jaguar as brand ambassador for China.
The former England star will feature in print and TV advertising campaigns for Jaguar in one of its most significant international markets.
“I’ve always been an admirer of Jaguar – from the styling and design to the feel and roar of the engine, every element feels uniquely British,” said Becks.
“I love the classic E-Type of the 60s and today this legacy is alive in the phenomenal F-TYPE Coupé, a car that epitomises British craftsmanship.
“It’s an honour to support a brand with such an amazing heritage and I look forward to being part of Jaguar’s exciting future in China.”
He will initially publicise the new Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé, but in the feature he will also feature in campaigns for the Jaguar XJ, for instance.
Beckham follows another football superstar into the Jaguar stable – José Mourinho is a new Jaguar UK ambassador and he will be the first customer to take delivery of the new F-TYPE Coupé.
