Hail a Jaguar ‘race taxi’ round the Nürburgring

Jaguar is offering fans the chance to experience the performance of the 567bhp V8 supercharged F-Type SVR and XJR575 on a passenger lap of the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Professional drivers will take thrill-seekers on a full-throttle hot lap – that’s 73 turns around the 20.83km circuit known as the Green Hell.

“A ride in the F-Type SVR and XJR575 Race Taxi is a thrilling and truly unforgettable experience for any car enthusiast – or anybody who just enjoys going very fast!” said Phil Talboys, European Engineering Operations Manager, Jaguar Land Rover.

“Our highly experienced professional drivers are veterans of the Nürburgring 24-hour race, making them uniquely qualified to show customers the true potential of these extraordinary supercharged V8 Jaguars.”

Both cars are powered by Jaguar’s 5.0-litre V8 engine. The 200mph F-Type SVR can accelerate to 60mph from standstill in just 3.5 seconds, while the XJR575 is the fastest and most powerful XJ ever made in the iconic luxury saloon’s 50-year history with a 0-60mph time of 4.2 seconds and electronically-limited top speed of 186mph.

Passenger laps in the two supercharged Jaguars are available until November. The price is €199 per lap and it includes a video of of the lap.
