Vulcan supercar in Coventry first

Aston Martin’s awesome Vulcan is to run on the Coventry Motofest ring road circuit in its first ever appearance on a UK public road.

The £1.8m supercar will make a headline appearance at this year’s two-day festival – dedicated to the city’s motoring heritage – from June 4-5.

Boasting more than 800bhp, the all-carbon fibre Vulcan will perform demonstration display laps on the ring road circuit, driven by Scottish professional racing driver Peter Dumbreck, who has competed in the Le Mans 24 Hour race, Touring Car Championship and SuperGT events.

Styled entirely in-house by the Aston Martin design team led by Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman, and with a design language hinting at the next generation of Aston Martin sports cars, the Vulcan is powered by the most potent iteration yet of the company’s naturally-aspirated, 7.0-litre V12 petrol engine.

The appearance of the Aston Martin Vulcan is part of a wider Aston Martin presence because a V8 Vantage S, a DB9, a V12 Vantage and a Vanquish will also be on show to mark the opening of the new Aston Martin dealership in Solihull, Birmingham.

The Aston Martin Owners Club will also have a range of classic including a DBS, DB9, a V8 Vantage, Vanquish, GT12 and a couple of pre-war cars taking part in demonstration laps.
