Volvo XC90 Review

If you fancy a new SUV, then the Volvo XC90 might be just the car for you. The Volvo XC90 has been one of the best selling Volvo and as equally popular as its sibling – the Volvo XC60 which was featured in the Twilight movies. If you wanted to get yourself friends and all your equipment out of harms way fast, then the Volvo’s new SUV is the vehicle.

The Volvo XC90 is a big SUV but has gently lines, nicely curved and contoured. Drivers in the XC90 have excellent field vision, perched high above the road. The cabin is a luxurious place, comfortable seating, great dashboard layout and the revised interior safety additions make it safer for passengers too.

There is plenty of connectivity here too, USB, MP3, sat-nav, auto dimming rear mirror, eight speaker stereo. Keeping its occupants comfortable is also imperative in the XC90; the infotainment system includes climate control, rain sensor wipers, spot light wipers, heated seats and superior air filtration unit.

The Volvo XC90 runs on the 3.2 litre six cylinder or the 4.4 litre V8, which takes off from 0-60 in 7.4 seconds, but its range is only 18 mpg making it a little in the costly side fuel wise.

With fears over safety in SUV’s, Volvo have introduced more safety features into the XC90, including blind spot monitoring indicators, a sturdier roll cage, front and curtain side airbags and whiplash protecting headrests. It’s not the cheapest SUV to run but definitely one of the most fitted out and stylish ones, this is not an urban run around but can carry a lot and is adaptable.
