Paceman’s mini-facelift

BMW reveals 2015 updates for its MINI Paceman range.

The revised MINI Paceman has made its debut at the Beijing Motor Show.

The “world’s first ever Sports Activity Coupé in the premium compact segment” has
had a few styling tweaks, while all models are more efficient and some have extra

Exterior styling tweaks include a lightly modified grille, new alloy wheels,
revised colour schemes and optional LED headlamps for the daytime running lamps
and fog lamps.

Inside the Paceman benefits from “acoustic optimisation”, which means it’s quieter
than before.

And to give it a sportier feel, the dials are now anthracite-coloured in the style
of the John Cooper Works Paceman across all models, while the standard trim
includes chrome touches around the ventilation controls.

Horsepower for the Paceman S has increased 6bhp to 190 from its uprated four-
cylinder turbocharged direct injection engine, hitting 60 mph in 7.5 seconds. It’s
also more efficient.

The fastest Paceman remains the John Cooper Works, which boasts 218bhp, a 0-60
time of 6.9 seconds and is fitted with MINI’s ALL4 all-wheel-drive system as
