A hot version of the Range Rover Evoque is announced – and it’s orange
Land Rover is introducing the premium “Autobiography” name to the best-selling Evoque line-up with two new models due to hit the showrooms in late 2014. The duo bring “heightened luxury and performance” to the range.
Already dubbed the “hot hatch of Evoques”, the Dynamic will be the fastest model in the range boasting a tuned version of the existing 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated with a 9-speed ZF transmission. The Autobiography will be available with 2.0-litre petrol or diesel engines.
Both have also had a little cosmetic surgery, including a few body styling tweaks, a new premium grille design, lower front valance, jewel-like headlights and tail lamps, plus 20-inch forged alloy wheels.
The Evoque Dynamic also gets a striking new metallic body colour called “phoenix orange”, along with upgraded brakes, plus chassis and suspension changes to create a more agile, sporty feel.
The Evoque is already the fastest-selling Land Rover of all time with 270,000 sales worldwide since its launch in 2011.
